This class is for the adolescent or adult dog with little or no previous formal training.  Whether your dog already has some basic skills or doesn't even know his name yet, we'll teach him basic skills to be a good companion and family pet.

Presently, Canines In Action is contracted to offer group classes through Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation, at the Monon Center.  You must enroll through the Monon Center; call 317-848-7275.

The class curriculum includes:

    * sit
    * stay
    * come
    * down
    * take it -- waiting politely for something rather than jumping for it
    * walking on a loose leash
    * settling quietly in a designated place
    * give
    * leave it
    * sit to greet instead of jumping
    * handling for nail trims, exams and grooming

Class meets for six consecutive weeks, one hour per week. Class size is limited to 6 dogs.  The fee for this course is $180, set by and payable to the Monon Center, and includes clicker.  Pre-registration is required.

Manners classes are designed for dogs over 20 weeks of age. Younger dogs are encouraged to enroll in Puppy Class.
